Stephen Koch’s attempt to snowboard Everest
The latest edition of Outside Magazine online has an article on Stephen Koch’s attempt to snowboard Everest. Interestingly, I saw him give a slide show at the Mt. Washington Valley Ice Festival several years ago. Even then he was commenting on his plans to summit Everest and then descend by snowboard. Unable to summit last August, Koch was unfortunately unsuccessful in snowboarding the entire north face.

Got something to say?

I’m an avid snowboarder (my primary sport). I hope Stephen Koch accomplishes his goals. He would become the first person to snowboard the 7 summits! Something I wish I could do. Unfortunately, snowboarding isn’t my full-time job!
