What is your shoe size? I wore a size 10.5 evolv defy and my street shoes are usually 10.5 or 10, never 11. I have a tad bit of wiggle room in the defy's, I'm thinking size 10 for these shoes for a tighter fit.

I find the Jet 7's and Optimus shoes very similar in sizing. The Optimus shoes may be a 1/4 size tighter than the Jet 7's of the same size. Hope this helps.

Now that the optimus' are on sale, I am highly considering buying a pair. My only problem is that I don't know what size to get. I have heard that they run small, but I was wondering just how small they are. I have climbed in Evolv Evos, La Sportiva Mythos, and 5.10 Jet 7s. If you could relate the size to any of those shoes, that would be perfect. Thank you.

Jeremy, when I wrote this review (July 2008), the Miura VS wasn't available yet (or at least anywhere I could try them). Since then, I've purchased a pair and love them. They're the perfect compliment to the lace-up Miuras.

i really like these shoes. they are awesome! but one quick question would be... if you like the miura so much... and you are looking for a velcro shoe for bouldering... hmm... why not just the miura VS? they are like 10X btter then regular miura's also. just a thought.... i love both pairs btw tho. my miura vs and my optimus primes.

Unfortunately, the heel cup pain only came after an extended session. I didn't notice them while trying the shoes on initially.

"heel cup is too high for me and cuts into my heel causing pain"
This a a good reason to try shoes in good stores or send them return.

but in general the Sharma series in not so good as he is.
