@amyc – thanks, I was wondering if it was just me! I also really enjoyed the shorts at the beginning as well. I wonder if that’s short attention span, tired from a long day, or a by-product of watching so many shorter clips of climbing on the Internet?

i definitely enjoyed the film – the production, cinematography and overall flow was wonderful. however, i have to agree with you, tom, regarding the latter part of the film (soloing and BASE jumping). while i appreciate the boundaries being pushed into braver and newer realms of climbing, i could not relate to it, and found myself less inspired (maybe more intimidated?) by that part of the film, and wishing for more stories similar to the shorts and the beginning of ‘The Sharp End.’

In Action / Inspiration, the winner was “Back on my Feet” and the directors added a judges choice award to “Chalk it Up” since the voting was so close.

For Humor category the winner was “Rediness is All”

I haven’t seen the movie but I agree on the tower jumping. I’m not sure I get the point of that other than a great way to break your ankles.
