It’s that time of year again. The holiday season is upon us and retailers will be going especially crazy this year to try and boost sales in this recessionary climate. I don’t know about you, but I stay away from the stores on Black Friday and do any shopping entirely online.

Tom – I can second that gearExpress endorsement. When fast shipping really matters (e.g. when I needed small cams, biners, slings, and a rope in a matter of days before a trip departure) they seriously come through. For us, way up here in the Pacific Northwest, gearExpress and Backcountry.com seem to be the fastest shippers (by a long shot)…
